I APPLAUDE SF FOR VEGAS VIDEO 3.0

Vegas Video 3.0 has been a great tool for my video and audio business! It has very creative tools and special effects, easy to use and has been flawless. I know a few of you in these threads have had some issues with SF, but if the product doesn't suit you, move on to another. I did and landed here with Sonic Foundry. I don't want to seem like a butt kisser, but for me anyway, VV3 has been great. Hope everyone works out their differences. Lifes too short enjoy!

Me too!
That's exactly how I got here: spending a month's worth of effort and $600 in upgrades trying to get Pro Tools to work on my WinMe system- last Sunday, I just said, "You know, this is just not ever going to work on this machine!"

The Pro Tools would crash by itself while idle, with me 5 feet away from the machine. Or the soundcard would spontaniously erupt into feedback, even though no processes were being done. I think Pro Tools was/is/will be a Mac product. That's great, but I have a PC!

I got here just yesterday and am going though the learning curve on the Demo to make sure V.V. will cover all the bases... So far it's very impressive- and as I said in a post yesterday, it sounds great! Lots better than PT did or Cubase (which I really didn't like...)

Best of all, it installed BANG and no tweaking. No crashes.

I'm bringing my Pro Tools experience with me- anytime I sit down at a DAW and there's Pro Tools, I'll have a working knowledge for it- But for a day-to-day tool on a PC, here at my own studio, I think Sonic Foundry Vegas/Sound Forge is the solid performer (and it looks great, too.) Time to cut losses and move ahead.
