I can now edit without crashing in V11!

I can now edit in V11 without constant crashes! Very cool! Yes I'm happy about it. A great step. Awesome!

... if I could only get through a complete render! Oh well, there's always cut and paste back into V10 for renders...

Is anyone else running into this? Anyone else who can now edit but not render without it crashing part way through?

Laurence? How do you successfully Cut and Paste "back" into VP10? I thought that was impossible? Forwards, yes, but backwards?

You must have missed it Grazie. We've all been doing that a long time. Just control A, then control C in one instance of Vegas, then Control V in the other. New features get left off going back, but I don't like the new default text generator anyway.

Since I found out I could do this, it took a lot of the venom out of my posts regarding the unreliability of V11. At this point I can always go back to V10 if I'm stuck. V11 is almost there for me. All that I need out of it now is to be able to render. Hopefully that will happen before V12 is released and development on this version stops (like it did on V10 after V11 was released).

He's talking Cut and Paste, not Save and Open ! Yes Cut/Copy Paste always worked for me V11 - V10.

So Laurence, what did you do to bring this improvement ?!!!

The latest version of V11 works really well for me right up until render, even when not in compatibility mode. So, so close...

I've noticed the only time my renders crash are when I have GPU acceleration on and use 32 bit for color. Try shutting off GPU acceleration for renders and see if it helps.

It's funny but it seems to me that the end users (not even beta testers) have put just as much time and effort into figuring out work-arounds than SCS has in finding a way to actually make Vegas 11 work correctly.
