I can't believe it.....

I just bought "The Seminar Series" Professional Training for Vegas + DVD software and I can't believe my eyes! Quality of video is so low, that my home made projects looks like Hplywood production. Actual screenshot of Vegas 6 looks like 5th generation copy of VHS tape. Leters and numbers are only gray fuzy lines. I'm reselling it and I'll buy training video from "Class on Demand" or "VASST". Thanx SONY, I'll never buy any "professional" training from you. PERIOD!!

Why not send it back and ask for a refund?

umim wrote on 12/16/2005, 4:34 PM
...I don't believe they will give me a refund. Only exchange. Reselling is a better option.

This is not the first complaint I've heard about this very topic, seems to be more of an issue for those of us in PAL land. I do agree, it's hardly the way to show case Vegas, whoever is responsible needs to lift their game.

Dear Mr.Right (pmasters) if you don't know that - life is a bitch. That "someone else" do have very same option don't you think? BTW I'm warning "someone else" to buy it. Yes I'm a nice guy.

I've seen a lot of things from "technically advanced" people that didn't come off too well. I think it just demonstrates how varied "video" is as an industry. Go search out some of the hi-tech specialized industries that are littered with tech and programming geniuses - and many of their websites are just terrible. Someone can be really adept at pushing the buttons and streamlining the workflow, but that doesn't mean they have a "feel" for putting things together. I've got a friend who is so up on the technlogy, it's scary - but he has absolutely no grace when it comes to editing and putting presentations together.

That's why outsourcing was invented. Unfortunately, a lot of people who should be practicing it don't.

I think a lot of the Vegas development team will be mortified to hear this.

If a product is produced by a manufacturer of video editing software demonstrating that software, surely one thing to make absolutely certain is that the quality of the video is the best possible.

.... I assume they used Vegas, so no excuses ;)

Peter you are right. Only thing is SONY do not care. Do you think they are reading or somewhat monitoring this forum? I don't thing so. Nothing like...:"We are sorry, we wil do this and this to resolve this situation. Did you EVER heard anything like that from SONY? When I bought my first Vegas 4, their tech.support even wasn't able to resolve my problem with instalation. I found help over the net, from one of those forums. THEY DO NOT CARE !!!!!

Says right on the first page of this forum that it is a peer forum -- not a tech support forum. If you need help from Sony, contact them directly.

If YOU don't complain and get a refund THEY won't get any better.
umim wrote on 12/25/2005, 1:30 PM
First a few words: bStro - you will find this forum on main page
in "drop-down" menu under SUPPORT! They did not specified WHAT
or - support from WHOM?
pmasters - you are the one who start bitching about me for reselling
this "professional" training to someone else. BTW SONY did this to me FIRST !
MH Stevens - I sent a complain to SONY. This is theirs answer:
