@Juan-Garcia Can you render out the project in two separate pieces? A start piece and an end piece. Not necessarily of equal duration.

If you can do that then I suspect that the combination of VP18 + your PC simply cannot manage this project in its entirety, kinda obvious.

Make sure that you have tried all of the other suggested comments in this thread.

Is it possible to trim say 5% out of your project overall? Then see if you can render it.

If not, another option to consider is try rendering out your complete project using a different render template.

1) If you can successfully render the project out to a high quality intermediate, XAVC-I, Magix 422 HQ, etc, you won't lose any appreciable quality.

2) Then load the intermediate into VP and render it out to your originally selected render template. Hopefully it won't stop at 98%.

3) If the intermediate doesn't render out from within VP then you can use the batch files I just uploaded here. Named Juan Garcia. You need an fmpeg static build say, downloaded from the inet. and the \BIN folder added to the Windows path. I'll add basic instructions in the ZIP on how to do this shortly. The scripts are a slightly modified version of my VFR2CFR ZIP. The FPS is set at 59.940. There's a JPG graphic with instructions on how to change some items, probably no need. The intermediate you choose, ideally Magix Intermediate 422 HQ, will be 422 10 bit.

Probably best to use the 420 8bit batch file (its in the filename of the batch file) to convert it to .mp4.

Well i can't do intermediate because it doesn't let me. The storage size to render the is far beyond what i have. The size it says is 6219GB and I don't have that much. I render the first 10% and it rendered without any issues. The same goes for the last 10%. When i render the whole thing, it stops at 98%. When i used movie studios, it rendered the video effortlessly. Sometimes there were hiccups such as rendering the video but not the audio, but that was rare. Vegas pro should be in a league beyond movie studios right? Doesn't make sense why it can't this video.

@Juan-Garcia Whats your total project duration?

I'm asking in case your making a miscalculation, even using Magix 422 HQ, at 3gb a minute (for FHD 50 fps) you would use 600 of your 721 gb ssd storage with a 3.3 hour movie. So even allowing for it being 59.940 fps, your movie must be very much longer than that?

So its ~ 34 hours long? i.e. 6219gb / 3gb per minute = 2073 minutes / 60 = 34.55 hours.😩

I added an Nvenc encoding (faster conversion) option to your ZIP, in case you need to convert the intermediate to mp4, outside of VP, assuming its not 34 + hours long?

I was wrong. I was looking at 4096x2160. This one much smaller and if it renders then it'll take probably 10 hrs at least. As long as it works, that's all i need.

The project duration is 53 minutes and 55 seconds.

@Juan-Garcia Well, the best of luck, fingers crossed.

well i finally finally got it to render. At first it didn't work, i uninstalled the software and reinstalled and it tried it one last time. Then it worked. i never needed to do that for movie studios, but no complaints. Thank you for the help. Really appreciate it.
