i cant edit divx 5.05 Why?

the avi video in timeline its black no video ! but in regular windows player i can see the video. why VV4 cant read in time line and edit ? :( well seems i am only one with this problem ? maybe amy sogestion ?

Search this forum for Divx and you'll find some threads on this. My Vegas v. 3 would give me the black video when importing DivX, but version 4 has imported them OK. If/when you do get the import working, you'll discover that DivX, like MPEG2, is not meant to an editing format.
