Top Menus - View\Window\Dashboard and select bottom option "Power Used Mode".

The problem is, is that it seems I am in power user mode but it still acts like I'm in easy mode ( or at least i am clicking on it ) is there something I else I can do because this leads to a lot of extra wasted time every time I add new media. Is there anything I can do to change the add media button directly?

I recall a setting somewhere. I'll try and find it as I don't have the problem. But please clarify how you are adding media.

I cannot find a setting so I must have imagined it.

My media always go into my Project Media custom bin (plus the All Media bin) that I currently have selected.

BUT playing around I find if the Storyboard Bin is selected media also appears on the timeline. Could this be your problem?

That might be it so how would I unselect that

Click on another of the Media Bins, such as "All Media" before going to the Explorer Window or adding media by other means.
