Changes in color to the "time display" for the timeline are not kept. You can make the change but when you reopen the program the default color will return. The time display is the big running timecode number for the entire project at the top left.

One annoyance that has popped up also for me about 5 times now is that occasionally about half of my Toolbar Button icons will disappear. If you hover the mouse where the icon is supposed to be the button is still working including the popup tip but the icons are gone until I close the program and reopen.

been around for a while in last few versions, mainly with script icons.
If you do a 'rescan Script Menu Folder" they will reappear right before your eyes...
don't know why it still remains an issue or if its a windows thing or script thing, perhaps some of the gurus here that write the script could shed some light.

This happens in Photoshop Cs4 as well with certian plug ins installed, but uit doesnt affect the plugin button it affect the photoshop buttons. FWIW

Thanks Steve, it's good to know that even the little quirks are not on my system only. I'm always a little nervous with a upgrade anyway.

Have you noticed this one? If I try to open a web browser or anything else while Vegas9 is being started, Vegas will hang. Ctl>Alt>Delete, End Task and then restart Vegas without trying to open anything else and it opens normally.

Interesting epirb, I never noticed that with V8 before. Good to know that I don't have to close and reopen just to get the icons back.

Thanks,

Erik

Base on what others have said, this sounds like a Windows UI /driver issue.
erikd wrote on 5/12/2009, 7:12 AM
Can you clue me in on the driver issue JW? I missed that discussion.

erikd,
Not just for vegas, but whenever opening any programme, its best you
allow it to open first before opening anything else.
