I just upgraded vegas 18 and it will not open error 5

I can not get vegas pro 18 or sound forge 14 to open. I just upgraded and registered today, sound forge says it has stopped working and I send the error report. Vegas won't open because I don't have a product license, but I did in fact register it. Did I get ripped off?

Where did you upgrade and bought those programs and to which version did you upgrade and how did you received the registration numbers?

From the Magix web site. That is where I got the ser #. I have done this many times and have never had this problem. Must these programs be installed on the C drive?

No need to, but Vegas is the best to install on C, the same where also Windows has to be installed.
Both programs (Vegas 12 and 18) can be used together at the same time. No problem.
