I Like Multiple Instances...

I am working on a wedding- a long wedding project. Currently I am finishing up the rehearsal which contained multiple different parts. Once I got a basic cut of what I wanted to do with the rehearsal I went back in and got more specific with the cuts and placement of the pieces. At this point, I had a mess on the timeline- multiple, multiple tracks with events spread over 3 hours. That is when I started thinking to myself; how can I make sense of what I have here? Ah ha! I will open up another instance of Vegas and cut and paste. In no time, I had a storyline built and all in order on a seperate project. Currently I am rendering it out after color correction and hopefully I will not find any mistakes!

I am glad that Vegas allows for multiple instances of Vegas to be up at the same time.

I agree. Add nested veg files to that and building long projects is so much easier.

Another instance of a "Happy Instance Customer" !

Used EXACTLY as you do, my 2rd or even 3rd instance act as a "scratch-pad" for ideas. Timeline is good, but sometimes<>often it gets real messy.

. . and then we have Nests . .oh yes . .

I think L - o - n - g using Timelines

I think Layered using T|R|A|C|K|S

However, I think WHAT-IF? using Instances
