I need lots of help with this program

I am trying to teach myself how to use the program i purchased it is the Vegas Movie Studio. I have vegas movie studio and dvd architect. I have compiled my pictures layed out my songs with vegas movie studio I had a small video clip never could figure out how to add that so I said the heck with it and was going to see if I could atleast get it to make a dvd then I would work on adding the movie later.It said to click on make movie then it asked all kinds of questions then it pulled up the dvd architect then it did nothing i tried to pull up my movie but it would only pull up the audio part and even that wasn't right. I made the first dvd to see and all it said was menu and that was it .. I have tried to go step by step and follow the manuals but i am still very confussed on how to do this.. When you click on "Make Movie" you have choices of what to do with that movie. The one you want is "burn to DVD" (You could save it to your hard drive, but for now, just send it to Architect). VMS will render the slideshow into MPEG-2 format, which DVD players can read. It will also create a .wav file for the audio. After it is done rendering, there is a button that says "Send to DVD Architect". That automatically opens DVDA with the movie, and audio that you just made opened as well. DVDA puts a menu scene up, but if you are only going to put one short video or slideshow up, you don't need a menu. In the left pane of the DVDA, drag and drop your newly created slideshow/movie from under the "menu", to the DVD icon (it should still say "untitled" next to it). This will move it up, over the menu. Then, simply highlight the menu and delete it. They you are ready to click "make DVD" and burn it. Before you do that, there is a "Preview" button that allows you to see your movie play on the screen, so you can make sure it's correct.

There is much more, but it sounds like you are pretty close to being able to make a simple DVD, so I'll let it go at this.

In the upper toolbar there is a "Show me how" button. It leads to several guided tutorials teaching you how to do the different functions in VMS.
VMS - beeing a "lite" version of the professional Vegas - has many, many functions and possibilities - both basic ones and very sophisticated ones.
It is a good idea to start with some smaller test videos - 20-30 secs -Also the approx. 487 pages manual is a must :-)

What version of the software do you have? If it is the new version 7, there was training DVD included. If you have version 6, you can purchase the training video at this web site.

I recommend that you spend some time with the training video. It is excellent for the new user.
