I need some tips to make day look like night

I shot some footage for a short video I'm doing that needs to be darker. It's an outdoor scene shot around 6pm, so it was still pretty light outside, but I want it to look more like it was darker outside.

It was in the forest, so there's not any big shadows to have to deal with, I just want the overall look of it to be darker.

In the "color curves" fx, there is a night setting.

I can't say it will actually SCARE anybody, but Roger and I have been working on it this week.
