The easiest way to close a gap between two video sections (events) and to ensure that all tracks move is to simply delete the gap while the 'ripple edit' toggle is on (CTRL+L). Move the timeline cursor to the end of the first event (beginning of the gap) and press the '[' key. This sets the 'start' selection marker. Then move the timeline cursor to the start of the second event (end of gap) and press the ']' key. This sets the 'end' selection marker. Double-click on the highlighted portion of the 'selection bar' (located above the 'time ruler') to select the gap. Then, press the DELETE key and the gap will be deleted. With the 'ripple edit' toggle on, all of the video following the deleted selection will move up the time line to close the gap.

Make sure you don't have a particular track selected or just the selection on that track will be deleted (unless the tracks are 'grouped', which is the default for the video and the voice track.)

I printed out your instruction and it worked like a dream. I won't be having that problem again.
Thanks, raphied for taking time to help me.

A slightly quicker way to move your sections together is to place your curser in the gap between the sections and double-click. The gap will be highlighted in white. Hit the Delete key. The right-hand section will spring into place up against the left-hand one, and everything to the right will tag along (provided you have Ripple Edits on).
