I Reset my PC and....

So, on June 29, 2019, I had purchased a Sony Vegas Pro 16, and recently, I had to reset (Wipe) my computer due to a major issue with it. But, I quickly realized, "Oh no... I Have to buy Vegas Pro again!!!" And it was like 200 bucks! I'm not going to buy another Vegas Pro package after I had LITERALLY BOUGHT IT 2 MONTHS AGO! I had to reset my computer, and now my Vegas Pro is gone! (I still do have the order confirmation e-mail if that helps prove it.) But, I tried to reinstall Sony Vegas with the same serial number, hoping it would work since I AM still on the same exact computer, just with a fresh drive. BUT NO! It decides that it's going to be secure *props to you, Sony* and not let me use the same code. I then realized "This is Vegas 17... do I have to upgrade it in order to install it?" Because I couldn't find any downloads for Vegas 16. Could I have some help with this? I do not know what to do, because I spent quite a bit of money on Vegas 16, and I had to wipe my computer, and now I have no Vegas. 😑

It's not Sony Vegas nowadays and hasn't been for a few years so presumably you purchased Vegas Pro 16 from Magix by download.

Go to your Magix account and into My Products from where you can deactivate its registration for your old drive. You should then be able to activate it again. I suspect your pc reset has given it a new identification number.
