I would like to be able to...

...use nothing but key commands while in record mode. For
instance, after I finish recording a take, I would like to
hit delete and move on without having to move to mouse and
push delete if I don't want that take. It won't let me
toggle over with the arrow key and then hit delete with the
enter key, or have I missed something.

Or maybe I would like the default to be on delete so I
could manually push save when I wanted the take.

Am I missing something?

All of the editing programs I have worked with incorporate left hand
on the keyboard and right on mouse.Saw,etc.Of course you will always
have to do two hands on keyboard at times for ctrl/alt/arrow etc. This
is something you should learn to work with.It is very fast when you
get used to the left and right way of working. Also treat the
movements like playing an instrument;practice, practice, practice and
you will get really fast at the moves and not think as much!!;-)
