IBM Motion JPEG

hi,
I got this video from a very low quality car DVR.
VideoInspector says it's encoded with IBM Motion JPEG which is missing on my computer apparently.
When I tried to open the video with Vegas Pro12, I got this weird view of it on the preview window.

Any idea how to fix this?
I guess I just need this codec installed, any idea where to download one from?

Thanks.

Download and install the Mainconcept MJPEG trial version. The decoder doesn't expire. Your problems "should" be solved at that point.
They are reliable and will not sell your information:
downloads.mainconcept.com/mdl/mdl.php?downloads.mainconcept.com+MotionJPEG+MJPEGCodec_RETAIL_v3.2.4.exe

Well, I installed the codec and the VideoInspector does recognize it BUT the vegas pro 12 still shows the video incorrectly (sort of a diagonal split mirroring view)

Any more ideas?

Thank you very much.

Other than investigating a paid solution, no other ideas. MC usually does the trick.
Maybe it has some kind of DRM?

You could see if it opens in Handbrake, and convert.

AVS tools can handle this video without any issues....
I'll just convert.

Thanks for your time.

No problem at all.
If you'll upload a short original clip to a fileshare site, I'll dig deeper, maybe this weekend.

Another free motion JPEG add on is the blackmagic software. You can just install the software even if you do not have a device. Vegas see this and the software does not time out or look for hardware.

Just a thought.
