So how do I add the shortcut icon to my desktop?

Should be automatically added.

If you want to add manual, look for Vegas application in Start>Programs>Vegas> and click-drag icon to desktop.

I can open up see, programs 86, Sony, DVD architect, and click on the execute button to open it. I wonder if I'd screw anything up so I just drag the execute button to the desktop?

It will just create a shortcut link. - it is standard Windows' feature.

I prefer to right click on the icon in the menu and choose "Send to" > " Desktop (create shortcut)", which leaves the original icon in place as well as creating the shortcut.

That got the job done Nick.

Right click on execute within Sony programs DVD architect and select create shortcut. I do that it said it can't put a shortcut there do I want it on the desktop instead? So I said sure I do, and there it is. Thank you all.
