Ideal Render Mode for HD Web

I have been rendering videos using the HDV 720 - 30p template and the MainConcept MPEG-2 (.m2t) which produces fantastic video. I've been shooting clips for bands and the videos turn out to be like 616MB, 922MB, 235MB each which when the manager said just email the files so I can upload them to some sites I knew I had a problem.
So, what is the golden combo to produce HD wide video that still looks great on the web but is reduced in size? I just don't know the best possible compromise.
TIA for advice!!
Harry

I'm happy with the 720p hd wmv template (standard).
Also look at the mp4 templates: those files are even smaller than wmv.

Thank you!!

Sweet!!

It turned what had been a 455MB blob into a 117MB WMV with sound transitions etc. Video quality is actually better for whatever reason....

Now to go back and re-render 23 other videos.....
