Yeah, this was discussed about a year ago... http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/forums/ShowMessage.asp?ForumID=4&MessageID=665480

Just another example of how the gimmick of the technique is put in the forefront.

Very cool video, but I don't see how using Vegas would have saved them any time and bother?

Well, Kevin,
they could have shot it all digital and used then used Vegas to capture the frames they want ... use layers of PiP to make the snapshots ... in the long run, it's all digital without have to stick the original photos on the wall or run them across the floor... the editing would certainly take a lot of time; so not sure if printing all the photos might very well save a bit of time ... then it's just a matter of shooting the sequences... (both techniques still sound like a time-consuming effort)...

See you on THU . . .

Until that time... Earl J.

I understand how they *could* have used Vegas, but I don't think it'd be any amount of a time saver for this project, would guess it'd take even more time than it actually did, but that's just my opinion.

And you know the meetup is next Thursday, right? 8/12

Agreed that it would take a lot of time even with Vegas. But factoring in the cost of making ca. 10 Thousand prints and and handling and keeping track of them... I think that would be like editing celluloid by cutting up individual frames and assembling the work print from that. Not a job I would want to do except electronically. I've done slide shows with as many as 640 slides (4 80 slide trays in tandem for 3D) and that was like going 12 rounds with Ali.
