If you have an Nvidia GPU & discord installed Vegas may operate slower

Discord apparently affects GPU clock speeds. I had thought the auto update would have been released by now but I just checked and I still needed to modify the discord profile settings. From the post it looks like it only affects games, but I think it affects all the software with GPU profiles, and Vegas has a GPU profile

Follow the instructions it's straight forward.

Is there more Nvidia setting IDs to optimize Vegas?

They seem to have made significant changes to the NVIDIA driver architecture: https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2625

In Release 256 and later display drivers, NVIDIA has made some significant enhancements to the infrastructure of the 3D settings in the NVIDIA Control Panel. These infrastructure changes will make the 3D settings and profiles faster and more robust and provide 3rd party developers with full access and control through a new API.

These changes are likely to cause the Vegas preview window to be unable to update FX.

Well that's not good.

The discord problem stands out because of how unusual that software is, If you ever under-volt or overclock a CPU or GPU Discord can be the first sign of a problem, either it crashes or crashes your system. It's a chat client, never understood how it is so sensitive or has the ability to crash an OS the way it does.

For overclocking/undervolting it's a good tool, because eventually something else would do the same, may as well find the problem on startup. As far as I know I never had the memory clock problem but many others have complained about, but thought I'd carry out this Discord profile change for piece of mind
