what I do not understand is that whatever I choose there I always have to define a render setting (for "render as ...", for "render to new track" and for "prerender").
I can choose a third party codec for all of these render choices and I can choose it whether that third-party-thing is checked or not.
On the other side a third-party-codec never will be used if I did not set the render preference to a third party codec.

Am I wrong with that?

No,no - no need for that. It's just my curiousity ;-) I never had a render problem with VV, no technical problem at all. Knock on wood ...

Haha, what should I tell you about that - It's quite a big distance to get that Kona stuff to Germany! ;-)))
