Image Sequence From GoPro Settings

I captured about 12 hours worth of images at 5 second intervals using the gopro camera. These images all have a ratio of 2592x1944. I want to bring this down to 1920x1080. I imported the files into Vegas Pro 10 via image sequence at the default ratio. When I render out to 1920x1080 I get the black pillars on the right and left side. I don't mind cropping the video down to the proper aspect, and I don't mind using pan/crop to do it, but I thought there was a setting to crop on render but I am not seeing that- did I just dream that?

Since you have so much extra resolution, you could do pseudo Baraka style pans and zooms.

Looks like your video aspect is 4:3, not 16:9, so some major cropping top and bottom would be required.
Easiest way to do this is the "match output aspect" preset in Event Pan/Crop/
