Import/Export DVD quality issue.

Hi
I often import movies from DVD into a new project. Once completed, I then burn to DVD again. Is there any loss of quality each time the imported DVD is then burnt to a new DVD?
As an example, I have recently completed my first 2 holiday videos which where both captured as AVCHD (produced on a Panasonic HDC-SD9) and then imported into SVMS 9.0a as .m2ts files and rendered as 1920x1080x12, 25,000 fps and on completion sent to DVD Architect for burning to DVD.
I now have two DVD's, both of which are about 20min playing time so I wish to combine them on to one DVD. Doing this is no problem, but will any quality be lost by when I burn the combined movies back to DVD?
Thanks

Yes, you will have quite a substantial loss. Always use your original projects or files to do this job. DVD is lower res, so when you reuse low resolution to re-encode, your quality goes to the floor.

Thanks a lot for that Eugenia, much appreciated once again. Will make sure that I keep all my original AVCHD files and project files for future use.
