Import .M3U or .WPL Playlist into CD Architect

When I discovered this capability wasn't supported in CD Architect, and I had the need to burn several CD's based on existing playlist files, I decided to overcome this limitation and write a program to let me do this.

Playlist Tools is a free utility program for working with .M3U and .WPL Audio Playlist Files. Playlist Tools lets you View, Manipulate, Repair, Convert, and Play single playlist entries, or the entire Playlist using your default Audio player.

You can Drag a Playlist from Windows Explorer into Playlist Tools to open it up. And you can Drag and Drop either the entire set of Playlist files, or just a single file from Playlist tools to any other program that can accept files dropped from Windows Explorer. This feature lets you effectively Import Playlists into programs that do not natively provide this capability; such as CD Architect.

I don't have an immediate need for this function, but may do sometime, especially now we know it's possible.

Thanks !

No problem. If you ever get a chance to try it out, please let me know how well it worked out for you.

I've uploaded a new version of Playlist Tools that fixed a minor bug, and now allows you to create new .m3u or .wpl Playlists. You can also specify additional audio file extensions to to the built in support for adding .mp3, .wma & .wav audio files to Playlists through Drag and Drop or the File Open dialog.
