Stereo wav files load and display as such. I'd guess ProTools is saving some weird proprietry wav format - they actually show as a single file ?

it grabs the stereo mix file off of protooll as a single stereo (in other words, i don't have to grab the left & right tracks seperately)...but when i paste them into CDA, they show up as to seperate (L&R) tracks and will not load together as one stereo track....always either the L or R....

All of the files in Pro Tools are mono files. If you render (bounce to disk) your session to a stereo interleaved format, the resulting bounced file will then become a "stereo" file that will show as a stereo file in CDA. Don't forget, if you record your session to a stereo track in PT, it will still be 2 mono files. Bounce to disk as stereo interleaved and all should be fine.
