import .swf into Movie Studio 4.0 doesn't work?

I bit the $30 bullet and upgraded to Vegas Movie Studio+DVD 4.0. One of the first things I attempted was doing the much touted import of a .swf flash file into a 4.0 movie project. It doesn't seem to work. I tried a few different .swf files. All .swf files work in a browser with the flash plugin. They are all movies that start and play straight through without any user input. And none of them will import.

Am I doing something wrong? I've tried to drag and drop from the explorer window to a video timeline, I've also tried selecting File, Import from the menu. It doesn't seem to work either way.

Has anyone done this sucessfully? Maybe my .swf files are bad, but I tried a few from various sources. Help?

The SWF plug-in suppports importing up to and including Flash 5.0 vector/title-based scripts. It does not support motion video or action scripts.

Most likely the .swf files you are attempting to import are Flash 6.0 or greater, or contain unsupported script types.

okay, I tried some more .swf files and got some to work, so maybe the others were the 6.0 format. But I'm not getting sound in any I've tried yet, should I be getting sound?

Only video is supported for reading SWF, not audio.
