Importing AVCHD files (.m2ts) to Sony Vegas movie studio 14

I have been importing AVCHD format files (.m2ts) from my Sony Camcorder till 4 months ago

Now I am not able to import

How and from where do you try to import that file ?
Here on my laptop no problem, look

In the new project I selected AVCHD 1920 x 1080 60i

Then I went to Project , Add Media, Tried to select a .m2ts file sved in my computer from my sony camcorder

When I tried to import it , it says

" An error occurred in opening one or more files. The file is an unsupported format "

FYI I imported many files in the past. Suddenly now I am getting this error

If I import an MP4 file then it imports

Pls help

No idea what is is with you, but you can try to reset the program following this: https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/faq-how-can-i-reset-vegas-pro-to-default-settings--104646/
or to place such a short file on a service like dropbox so we can download it unharmed to try it also at our installation.
