Importing AVI from VW4 to VF?

Hi,
I have some video captured with VW4 and apparently not all AVI's are created equal. VF refuses to import this clip. I assume this is a type 1 & type 2 difference and what I need to know is if there is an easy and hopefully free utility for converting between the two. Also, which is which? Is VF type 1 or 2?

Okey Dokey....

VF takes in AVI-2 files. VW4, I am presuming, only produces AVI-1 files. Get on to the Canopus site and you can download a freeware conversion utility. I've used it and it works.

Any idea what it is called? I went to the canupus site and the only conversion product I saw was Procoder for $699?

Yes, it does work. I have to do that too....It takes awhile....Just select the files, and convert to the microsoft avi-2 format. I let mine run while I am off my machine late at night. 2 hrs takes about 2 hrs, maybe a a little less...
