Importing DVDs to Vegas

I'm trying to import footage from a DVD I made into Vegas Pro 8.0b.

I pick Files>Import>DVD Camcorder Disc.

It brings in the files, separated at the chapter points.

This is great, until I put them all together again.

The end of each clip is missing 10 frames of audio and the first two video frames of the next clip are frozen.

I've tried this with multiple DVDs I've made, and it is always the same problem at the chapter points.

Is there a workaround for this?

Thanks.

Hmmm - you will not always win when it comes to import DVD's - I have realized that, and done it a lot.
Most of the DVD's I import is ok, but not all. The other day I had one with thee same prob. as you describe.
I simply copied the VOB file to my media harddrive, renamed it to MPG and dragged it to the timeline - voila, it worked (in that case).

My experience reg. DVD's is that there can be a lot of factors playing a role when it comes to ok importing into Vegas (and other NLE's). If the DVD's have a quite high bitrate 4.5 Mb + they are usually ok here, but it's not a 100% rule.

There has been several threads reg. this issue, so try do a search on this too - I know some utils are mentioned to convert to AVI etc.

I used to have the same problems importing with 7.0 but 8.0b in Vista 64 worked ok after a few nudges.
