What version of VMS? What is the resolution/file size of your pics? Large files don't play well you most likely will have to reduce them. A number of threads on this topic, pls use Search to find them.

Welcome to the forum, btw.

Thanks for the response! Image size is 800x450. I'm using Studio 10. I search for threads on importing image sequences and found none. I would appreciate any references. Thanks!

Can you tell us specifically what errors you are getting?

Just for reference, i've recently done an import of a sequence of over 10,000 1920x1080 .tga images with no problems.

I go to Import media icon and select. Then I open my image file. On media file type I select Image Sequence. I then select i select images (all 200). Then I select the bottom check box for Image Sequence. This usually de-selects my images, therefore I select them again. The Range Selection has 1-61, so I change it to 1-200. I click open. Give name to video being made. Then out of Errorland, comes,
"File META:\Image Sequence\{META:\Image Sequence\{C:\Users\John's Machine\Vi002.bmp} (0)[61][3] could not be opened." It's was horrible! Makes for restless nights! :o(
PS Concerning references, I'm referring to the post that there's lot of threads referring to Image Sequencing here and the Search function doesn't favor my thread search. Thanks!

Ahhh, very simple. You don't have an image "062". Vegas will only handle contiguous numbering; any gaps at all stops it. That's why it only offers to open 1-61.

Admittedly Vegas could be a little friendlier and pop up a message telling you all this instead of crashing with the error. It might also be nice if it was smart enough to skip over the missing image without dying. Alas. On the other hand you could create a sequence from 1-61, then a second one from 63-200, and then butt them up together on the timeline. Alternatively there are many free renaming programs out there that will renumber the images contiguously.

By the way, selecting the images doesn't do anything for you other than choosing the starting image, which is why Vegas deselects them when you check "open image sequence".
