I want to take clips from various very large (2-6GB) MPEG-2 files and combine them into a single movie. When I import a couple of theser large files into VMS everything starts to run very sloooowly. Ideally, I'd like to cut them up physically [not scene-find] prior to importing them. According to Sony tech Support, this cant be done with VMS, so can anyone recommend good, efficient software for the simultaneous cutting out of several sections of my large MPEF files as a stand alone operation? Thanks.
