Importing Media Error (MP4) "The activation of AAC (MC) failed."

Before I was on windows 10, and I was able to import mp4 videos into my project. I had Quicktime installed.

Now I upgraded to Windows 11, and I get an error message when I try to import an mp4 file.

I get the error message: "The activation of AAC (MC) failed. If you are using the program as a guest, please repeat the activation procedure with administrator rights."

I tried reinstalling/reactivating Vegas completely fresh (under administrator rights) and I reinstalled Quicktime.

Version 17.0 (Build 455)

Edit: I geta different error with other formats I tried to import (mkv, mov and m4v)

Update:

So my issue just got stranger. I tried Vegas 20 and everything worked great! Apparently it supports Windows 11 or something. So I purchased Vegas 20 then activated it under administrator rights and the same issue is happening again!

I reverted to the trial version, then I could use MP4 clips with no issue at all! Reactivating my Vegas with my serial number simply breaks importing and using MP4 file formats.

Any ideas?

Have you also tried starting Vegas 20 after rightclick and choosing execute as administrator?

Yep. I even tried reinstalling it and activating it after executing as administrator. I felt That was the first thing to try too haha
