My daughters have ipod nanos, 5th gen which has the video camera that records to Mp4 file type. They want to be able to edit them. I called up Apple and asked them what software to use on a PC to be able to import and edit an Mp4 video. He told me Sony Vegas Movie Studi 9. Bought it and installed it.

I can navgigate to the ipod and I can see the videos, but when I import them, I get an error message from Vegas that says "the file cannot be opened".
