Importing or Capturing a Director Projector file to Vegas

Need to bring a Macromedia Director Projector .exe onto the Vegas timeline so it will be a regular video. It's high rez now--1024x768 playing at an odd frame rate.

Tried a shareware screen capture program called Screen Movie Studio that allows you to draw an area on the screen to capture (or you can capture a window or the whole screen, etc) that outputs as AVI.

Not completely successful. Any other ideas?

Thanks.

Sounds next to impossible.
Another screen capture software is Camtasia. Have a try.

Can you get the original director (.dir) file? Or have the director author generate an .avi for you? Director WILL output to an .avi if memory serves....

A Director .EXE is essentially software, NOT a video file. It might be possible
to take the original Director source file and export it into a video file, but this
will only work if the Director app is laid out as a linear animation file.

A better route might be to try a capture utility, like the Camtasia software
that stormstereo suggested.

BTW, I'm a commercial Director programmer.
