I've recently edited some rather long video sequences and rendered these out in 1080 MP4 format for the web. These much shortened videos are now roughly 15 minutes in duration and the thought struck me that rather than edit/render the original files all over again with the subsequent destination being DVDA for disc burning along with still images why not simply bring in the MP4 files, add the still images and then produce the final DVD.

Question: is their any disadvantages to importing previously rendered MP4 files into Vegas in terms of quality loss and if so would it be marginal. If so, is there anything that can be done in terms of rendering out to minimize this?

Edit: this thought only struck me afterwards so no, I didn't save the Project before closing it.
