Importing still images

I just purchased Song Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 10 and I am trying to import still images into the timeline using the explorer. I keep getting an error message stating that the format is an unsupported format. The image is a .jpg file.

Try additional photos that are from other sources. For example, download a jpg from website and see if that works. Or try others that you have on your computer. This way you'll know whether there is an issue with the photo or with SVMS.

I've tried several different photo's with the same results. Would converting my operating system over to 64bit create this error?
