Importing/using MP2 files from Pinnacle DC2000?

I have a fairly large stock of MP2 (with associated WAV) files captured with a Pinnacle DC2000 card (still the best broadcast-quality mpeg2 capture board around). I've just bought Vegas 4 + DVD (after endless irritation with Premiere 6) and now need to find a way of bringing my MP2 files into Vegas 4. Has anyone found a way of doing this, or will I have to re-render everything in Premiere using the DC2000 to say a 25 mb/s AVI format and then import into Vegas?

My friend is having a hassle of problems with DC-2000 and Video Factory which
when first installed Video Factory took the DC-2000 files no problem. But something
happened after a couple days and then it didn"t work so he is changing the entire
configuration to another computer. Alas, thats all I know at the present time.
Videofactory is the low end sofo editing program.
