I believe you might have to go to the person who provided the media and ask them for their Matrox VFW codecs disc. Install them on your system and then Vegas will be able to read the media.

I've only used SD codecs in Vegas but 'd think the HD would work too.

I've had the same experience as Rob...

As long as the codec is on your system, where Vegas can see it, I would say it should work

I downloaded the codecs from the Matrox website...they were free.
I'll give that a try.

Thanks

Great! I didn't know they were free (and had read they weren't).

Here's where I downloaded them from
http://www.matrox.com/video/en/support/digisuite/downloads/softwares/codec/

You just have to fill out a form.

Maybe it has something to do with us having Axio systems. They don't appear to provide codecs in the Axio support section

I downloaded the codecs but Vegas only sees the audio...no video.
Is there any other way to get files captured with the Matrox RX2 to work within Vegas?
Or maybe it's because Vegas can't see the codec. How can I make Vegas see the codecs?

Don't know. In my case we have a Matrox VFW codecs disc that came with the Axio systems. After installing these Vegas sees the footage just fine. Even the 10-bit footage.

What you're describing sounds like you're still lacking the codec. Maybe ask on a Matrox forum?

Gspot might be able to tell you something about the footage.

Yeah, I just did some more searching and I looks like the codecs I downloaded are not the same codecs that come with the RX2. I found the correct codecs (I think) and am dowloading them now.

I downloaded the correct codecs but still nothing. I ran GSpot and it says that the M703 codec is not installed on my system. Is this a codec that only Premiere Pro can see?
