Improving Vegas Titles

Forgive me... I only use Vegas 2.0! I haven't yet popped the cash on the upgrade...

I'm looking for a way to improve the titles that I'm creating in Vegas. Even when rendered high quality, my titles come out looking vaguely out of focus, with a bit of distortion right around the edges, which is very evident against a black background.

I'm ultimately going to print this to DV, which isn't the ideal format, of course, but I'm looking for the best possible quality. Is there anything I can do to clean these titles up?

David.

Part of what you are seeing is the Microsoft DV codec. Vegas 3 SF codec will help here. High Contrast hard edge computer graphics are always going to suffer going to NTSC or PAL video standards though. You have a ton of options over white text on a black background. Also, you can get the new Vegas 3 style text media generator to use with Vegas 2 by downloading and loading the Video Factory 2 demo. You might see an improvement in quality with it. Worth it for the tools alone. Keyframe sync cursor feature is the only thing that doesn't work in it. It will show up as another text media generator in the plugins bin.
