Inaccurate Available Time Display

I have a 1.5 tb drive that I use for capturing video which has about 1.12 tb still available, but Vegas is reporting only approximately 3.5 hours of available time remaining on the display in the bottom right corner on the capture page.

Is this just an inaccuracy in the display? Perhaps because it can only display 2 digits in the hours position?

I'm running XP Pro SP3 with the latest version of Vegas Pro (e). The drive is formatted in NTFS with a single partition of the full drive capacity,

Anyone have any experience with this?

David

Just a few guesses (and questions), as I bump your thread to the top of the stack:

Obviously, this is a valid limit indicator, tho your "limited digits" speculation may prove true.

Remaining "WHAT" ? ... Project Time? ... Capture Time? ... Storage Time?

What version of VEGAS (exactly) ... anyone? ... is there a project limit in any version of VEGAS?

That is a 32Bit operating system. Is there *ANY* limit to file size in XP/NTFS ?

What (exactly) is being "reported", in the "time remain" field ? Explicitly?

David, my guess is that there's actually 27.5 hrs. available.
Since the clock only goes up to 24 hrs., it does a roll-over for you.
