Incorrect serial number when installing Vegas 4!!

I installed Vegas 4 today and when I tried to run it it asked me to enter the serial number including hyphens. I entered the serial number located in the front of the Vegas 4 manual correctly but was told the "correct serial number" started with "9N". Both of my serial numbers (incl. DVD Architect) begin with "H8". I can't call support today so does anyone have a clue what's wrong?

Same thing happened to me. Support said to reinstall and it worked fine.

My just arrived Vegas 4 has the serial number blacked out with a felt tip marker and a new "9N" serial number stuck on top of it. My DVD Architect has an "H8" serial number with no such corrections involved. Don't know yet if I will have installation problems.
