individual FX plug-ins on individual songs

It seems that when I put a plug-in FX on an individual song it transfers to all the other songs. What is the exact procedure to create specific FX's on Specific songs in a sequence of songs.
I have highlighted individual songs and dragged fx to the the song (I see the plus sign and drop it and it still shows on all other songs. Please advise.

Doesn't do that for me with the one event selected, or even with multiple/all events selected. When dropped it just goes onto the event chain handle dropped onto.

What happens if you apply the FX by opening the actual event FX chain and selecting that way ? FWIW that's the way I'd do it normally ...
