initializeing UI

VMS 8pe Hangs at start, on the splash page when it gets to (initializing UI) aka user interface the program stops loading.
Does anyone know a fix for this,i tried reloading,restarting,and nothing ,thanks

re-install, install an anti-spyware/virus app and clean up your PC. There is something that prevents vegas from working correctly.

Which build of v8? Try the latest build 8.0d.

When it's loading it usually says what it's doing (what component is being loaded). You may want to open a support case with Sony and provide them with that information for guidance. The last message I see before the app starts is "Creating windows" - do you get that far?

i have 8.0 build 74 , i tried update after i reinstalled but no luck, what it says on the splash screen is (initializing UI) UI stands for user interface or so im told thank for your reply

OK. So did you download the 8.0d patch specifically? I want to rule out any issues that have already been resolved by Sony.

After "Initializing UI" there seems to be at least one more message before "Creating windows" so I'm not sure what to suggest next.

Please check system requirements in terms of hardware (graphics card maybe) and software (QuickTime, Microsoft DirectX® 9.0c, Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0).

At this point it would be best to open a support case with Sony and let them help you too.
