Try Track Motion.

I agree with jetdv about using track motion.....that's how I make video in a corner of the screen or picture in picture.

Click on the track motion icon and resize the box with the "F" in the middle of it. If you want it to stay still and not move across the screen, make sure you only have one keyframe, and you move it really far on the line. The more you change the size and position of the video track, the more you will need to ajust the keyframes.

Hope this helps....this is the easiest way I know of how to explain this.

I've just done a test placing a logo in the top right hand corner. Do you want me to post it to the Chienworks VegasUsers site to see it? It's only 4 seconds long - no audio - only a sample.

If you wish I can then explain how I did it - yeah?

Sorry - You want top left - Same thing but I'll explain too!

You've got jpeg - yeah? Might need to do something else, but I'll do that too.

Thank guys,

Do you guys mean the crop function?
That is what I am trying to use with no success.
The problem is that I have to insert a really small logo (imagine a Tv station logo on the top of the screen...).

I have tried with a logo with a size of 353x196 (as I got it from company to whom this video is for). I have inserted in a new video track, then go to CROP and resize the logo but I can't put exactely where I want it.

Also I wnat the final logo to be 35x20 in size. Should I put it on its final size before?

Grazie, please tell me where can I see your example. And yes, tell me how to do it.

I think that there should be an easier way to do something like this.

thanks

one thing that makes no cense to me is that the little logo I put in a new track get as big as the full screen. Then, it is impossible to put it in any of the coners of the screen because to make it small you have to make the F so big that you can't anymore move across.

please help

Hi D,

Track Motion is a control at the track-header, it is better than Pan/Crop for moving and sizing images within the project's frame.

Many folks use a separate track for each image that is sized or positioned.

Track Motion is NOT THE SAME as Pan/Crop. Read the help file for both of them and you will see the difference. Also, go to Vegas Tips, Tricks, & Scripts Homepage, and download the newsletters to find some more information on Track Motion.

I make the logo "small" to start with WITHIN a transparent 4:3 screen when I create it in my graphics package. This way you can make it as small as you want. Then import the whole thing into a dedicated track - yeah?

djonimz: there is a zoom/view control in the Pan/Crop screen. You can set this to a smaller percentage so that you can continue making the "F" bigger and still moveable.

Track Motions does exactely what I want.
The idea of making a transparent 4:3 screen with the logo already in it is a cool one too.
Thanks to all of you that helped.

best
