Insert POINT?

In Velocity Envelpoes you can "Insert POINT" to apply variations of the speed etc - Isn't this possable with a .wav/sound track?

I want to vary the loudness of a sound track as time goes on ...

Select the audio track and hit V to insert a Volume Envelope .... Double click to insert node etc.
