I have used the "insert time" option as a way to open up blocks of time on my timeline but I have run into a problem that I can't figure out. Say you have an edited master and now you are going to make revisions throughout that include greatly lengthening the original piece. I choose I point where I want to make changes. Hit Ctl>A to select everything on the timeline, and then insert time for the amount that I want to open up some editing space, say 30 seconds. This works perfectly for pushing everything in the latter part of the timeline down without any problems EXCEPT the audio/velocity envelopes do not slide down. They do not move with the "insert time" command.

I made sure that I have "lock envelopes to events" selected. Anyone else seen this or know how to get around the problem?
