Insert time with locked envelopes?

My locked envelopes works as expected if I click on individual events and move them. The envelopes are moved as well. However, I have a 30 minute timeline that i need to do major re-editing on and I want to insert a large gap in the middle of the timeline to allow room for editing. But when I insert time my events are no longer locked to the envelopes even though "lock envelopes" is activated. How does one move everything (tons of stuff) down the timeline without losing all those critical envelope points?

Have you tried a Post-Edit Ripple? Try moving the earliest event later in the timeline, and then using Ctrl + Shift + F to move the whole thing down the timeline that amount. Otherwise you can look in Edit > Post-Edit Ripple and try the different options.

Just a thought--seems to work here, although I am not 100% certain that I follow what the problem is on your end. But this works for what I think the problem is.

EDIT: The other thing that works of course, is the Auto Ripple with the option to move the track(s), markers and regions. With my envelopes lock on, both of these methods work for me.
