Inserting a Web Link

Hopefully I'm missing something obvious here!

I'm working on a multimedia CD-Rom... pretty boring stuff, as always.

However, what they'd like is for, at the end of the video, the host computer's web browser to open up & go to the client's website.
It appears that I can do this with a URL command on the timeline... but that doesn't seem to be working.

Any thoughts on what I'm doing wrong... or if I can do this at all?

David.

What format are you rendering too? As I understand it, you need to be using a format that supports the inclusion of the metadata you have specified, and then you need to be using a viewer/player that will take the appropriate action when the metadata is encountered.

It doesn't seem to work with either Quicktime or Windows Media 9.

Double check to make sure that you have specified "run script commands when present" on your WM9 player - tools, options..., security tab

David, I would try suggesting to your client that that kind of thing pisses a lot of people off, and they would be better to do it in flash with a click this screen to go to the site kind of deal. Much less annoying and it should work quite well, as most computers have flash that are connected to the net.
