Just select the line after where you want to have the line appear and hit the "insert key". I agree that it wasn't all that clear also.. took me a while to figure that out.

I haven't done one of these for a while but I seem to recall you couldn't alter the placement, and when playing with it now (and searching help) it appears you have to type in the credits one after the other in order -- the only way. A nice feature would be the ability to drag one of the left boxes up and down to change the placement.

(Edited) Just saw Liam's post and am glad to learn something new. It would be nice if it could be done drag-and-drop also, but at least it can be done. I assume selecting and pressing delete also works.

Yeesh, wish I'd known that earlier this year, when I had a massive credit roll to do (for a DVD of an amateur stage production). I can't remember how many times I deleted huge chunks of text, all because I forgot to add a heading or blank line...

Yet again, the more obvious the solution, the harder it is to find.

I also didn't know about the Insert key. It's too bad dragging doesn't work - that seems to be the obvious way.

I think you will find that the Ctrl-X (cut) and Ctrl-V (Paste) allow you to move stuff around.

I just checked the PDF version of the manual. There doesn't appear to be any mention of using the insert key. I sure appreciate this tip, because I needed to do this about five minutes ago, and found the solution here. Ain't this forum great?

In answer to Paul's question, if you have a whole bunch of text to insert, I don't think you can drag/drop, but you can cut/paste in one operation. Just put the text in your word processor (I use Word); sort the text alphabetically (in Word, you do this in Table -> Sort); select the text; copy the text; and then select the line where you want the text to appear (if you are just starting a new credit roll, select the "insert text here" line); and then press Ctrl-V. All your text gets copied.
