Am using Vegas pro 21 and have bought a insta360 x4 camera.
When i import this to vegas, i only see a circle with the video. But is there not a option to pan/tilt/zoom or something else?
I know premiere does have a plugin for it..
Stitch in Insta Studio pc app to a 2:1 aspect ratio equirectangular 360 video (do not reframe!).
And then you can rotate, make tiny planet, etc in Vegas using 360 effects. ("scene rotation" and "tiny planet" fx)
Be aware that place pan/crop after these fx, otherwise quality will be not good.
Mind you share some good, 8k .insv files for us, testing?
I think about upgrade from X3.
I agree with @relaxvideo, prepare the file in Insta360 Studio App first, besides you will catch all the gyro-stabilizing data automatically processed as well so you won't get confused with it, then put the 360 video into VEGAS Pro.
Or, the other alternate around in new version of 5.0.0 that allows the sequencing editing cutting and reframe of what you need, you can do that there and later do finishing in VP21. The weakness in this way is not yet supporting the 25p frame rate. The project only still 30p.
