If you want to leave 3 on your system (for whatever reason), just install 6. It won't overwrite 3. Remember, if you open a version 3 project in 6 and resave it, 3 will no longer open it. HTH.

Vegas 3 was SonicFoundry. Vegas 6 is SONY and will install in a different directory tree. If you have installed any 3rd party plugins or effecs occassionally they wont transfer to the new SONY installation properly. There is a "migration tool" that you'll find under Start / All Programs / SONY / Vegas 6 that will take care of these problems if they arise.

Thanks much for the info all... I sure could have used this when I was working (one man band film production for Hyster Co. Hanging film in a bin and reading edge numbers was a bit hard,hihi) I Like editing so when I got "old" to keep my fingers in I started with Vegas, then Vegas 3 and now 6...What fun, keeps me "young"
